Sely terms

Terms for using the Sely lookbook

These terms govern your use of Sely, a personal Western-style lookbook for recording outfits and street inspiration on your device. By using the app you agree to this agreement and to the companion privacy notice.

App: Sely No account required Questions: hemline.nara@selyatelier.net

The scope of these terms

Sely lets you build a private lookbook: capture today's outfit with the camera or import a look from your library; classify it as OOTD or Inspiration; apply a style tag such as French, Street, Minimal, Vintage, or Resort; add an occasion and optional notes; favorite entries; inspect Style DNA; keep Today's Look Ritual and a streak; browse Discover, Lookbook, and Profile; switch among grid, timeline, and calendar; shuffle Inspiration Dice among looks you already stored; edit tags and notes; and share a Look card through the system share sheet.

Sely is a logging and review tool. It is not a marketplace for garments, not a social network, and not professional styling, medical, or safety advice. Features described here are those the app actually provides. If a screen is later removed or renamed, these terms still apply to the remaining lookbook functions.

Eligibility without an account

You may use Sely without registering or signing in. There is no password, membership roster, or account-cancellation workflow because Sely does not issue user accounts. You must be able to enter a binding arrangement under applicable laws. If you are below the age of digital consent where you live, a parent or guardian should supervise use of the lookbook, including any photos of a person.

You are responsible for the device on which Sely is installed and for anyone who can unlock that device and open your looks.

Using the lookbook tools

You agree to use capture, import, tagging, search, calendar backfill, Style DNA, Inspiration Dice, and sharing only for lawful personal style reference. You will not attempt to disrupt the app, probe other users' devices, or misuse permissions (camera, photo library, or tracking authorization) for purposes unrelated to keeping or sharing your own looks.

Calendar dates you assign should reflect when you want the look recorded. Sely does not independently verify that a photo was taken on that day. Streaks and rituals are habit aids, not warranties of any result.

Style tags and occasion labels are organizational aids. They do not certify that an outfit is authentic to a region, brand, or subculture, and they are not a substitute for your own judgment about what to wear.

Photos, notes, and tags you add

You retain whatever rights you already have in photographs and text you place in Sely. By saving a look you confirm that you have the right to store that image on your device and, if you share a Look card, to send that image to the destination you choose. Do not import photographs you are not allowed to copy, including images taken from others without permission.

Notes are your own commentary. Do not use notes to store anyone else's private information that you are not entitled to keep. Sely does not review your lookbook. Content stays on the device unless you delete it, share it, or save a Look card outside the app.

If a look depicts another person, you are responsible for having a lawful basis to photograph and keep that image. Sely is not a consent-management platform.

Fair use of Sely

You must not:

We may stop providing the app, or particular functions, where continued distribution would conflict with relevant regulatory requirements or platform rules.

License and ownership

Sely, including its name, layout, Style DNA presentation, Look card design, and editorial style descriptions in Discover, is owned by the operator of the app or its licensors. Subject to these terms, we grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use Sely on devices you own or control, solely to keep your lookbook.

This license does not sell you the software, does not allow you to rebrand Sely, and does not grant rights in third-party photographs that appear only because you imported them. Apple's operating system, share sheet, camera, and web view remain subject to Apple's terms.

Sharing a Look card

Sharing is optional and user-initiated. When you generate a Look card, Sely prepares an image that may include your photo, tags, notes excerpt, and Sely branding. You decide whether to save it to Photos or send it through the system share sheet. Destinations you select (messages, social apps, files) are outside Sely. We are not responsible for how those destinations display, store, or further distribute the card.

Opening the user agreement or privacy notice in the app loads a remote page in a web view. That retrieval is for reading legal text, not for publishing your looks.

Availability and changes

Sely is provided as a local lookbook that depends on your device storage, camera, and library. Functions may change as the app is updated: filters, rituals, dice, or card layout may be adjusted, limited, or withdrawn. We do not guarantee uninterrupted access, nor that every past look will remain compatible with a future version after you update.

You are responsible for exporting or sharing copies of looks you wish to keep outside the app. We do not operate a hosted backup of your wardrobe.

Practical limits and risk

Outfit logging can be personal. Keep the device locked. Photos and notes can be lost if the phone is damaged, reset, or out of storage. Inspiration you save from the street or from your own closet does not create any duty for Sely to advise on weather, dress codes, or safety.

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable laws, Sely is provided "as is." We disclaim implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement, except where such disclaimers are not allowed. We do not warrant that the lookbook will be error-free or that Style DNA or streaks will match any external fashion standard.

Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the maximum extent permitted by applicable laws, excluding liability that applicable laws do not allow to be limited (including certain liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud, where such rules apply). We are not liable for lost looks, lost device access, or consequences of sharing a Look card once you hand it to another app.

Ending use

You may stop using Sely at any time by deleting looks and uninstalling the app. We may discontinue the app or refuse further updates if these terms are breached or if distribution is no longer lawful. Because there is no account, termination is effected by ceasing use and removing the software; leftover Look cards in Photos or other apps are yours to delete there.

Sections that by their nature should survive (including intellectual property, your responsibility for photos you added, disclaimers, liability limits, and dispute language) continue after you stop using Sely.

Disagreements under applicable law

These terms are governed by applicable laws, without selecting a particular country, region, state, or city. If a dispute arises about Sely, the parties will first attempt to resolve it by writing to the contact below. If that does not resolve the matter, either party may pursue relief before competent dispute resolution bodies as relevant regulatory requirements allow. Nothing in this paragraph requires arbitration, names a court, or waives non-waivable consumer protections.

If a provision is held unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue. Failure to enforce a term is not a waiver. These terms, together with the privacy notice, are the agreement for using Sely. They do not create third-party beneficiary rights except where applicable laws provide otherwise.

How to reach us

Questions about these terms, permitted use of the lookbook, or intellectual property in Sely's interface should be sent to hemline.nara@selyatelier.net. Use the same address for privacy questions so correspondence about Sely stays in one place. Please do not send original outfit photos to that inbox unless we ask for them to understand a specific issue.

Effective date. These terms take effect on September 9, 2026.

If you do not agree, do not use Sely. Continued use after that date, or after a later posted revision, constitutes acceptance of the then-current terms, except where applicable laws require additional notice.
